Ezuz is a tiny desert village in the western Negev, with no asphalt roads and no second floors. In the middle of it, since 2007, we’ve been hosting guests in a compound we built by hand, from unusual materials and reclaimed objects.
No two rooms are alike. Muse has a window made of bottles, Vintage has dressers from the ’70s, and the yard is full of hammocks, shady corners and pieces we’ve collected over the years. Everything is kept spotless, and there are homemade cookies in the kitchen.
A large room with four single beds, for friends or family.

Around the yard
Outside your door
A shared, equipped kitchen
A fridge, cooktop, microwave, kettle and dishes. Cook a full dinner, or just make the morning coffee.
A yard of hammocks and shady corners
Between the rooms there are shaded seats, hammocks and art everywhere. Evenings are best spent outside.
Evenings in the yard
When the sun goes down the yard lights come on, and you can stay out in the sitting corners or a hammock until late.

A village compound that is one amazing work of art, with a quiet, authentic desert atmosphere… It was our second stay, and we’re already waiting for the next.

The rooms and grounds are unbelievably clean… A tour made us arrive very late, and Ella still insisted on meeting us to welcome us.
Nir GeigerStayed over Passover
Eli and Ella, warm and easy to talk to, have made a charming spot in the heart of the desert… The yard is full of art, their own handiwork and collection. Recommended.
Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00. Need some flexibility? Message us ahead of time and we’ll try to work it out.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes — guests must be 16 or older.
Can we bring a dog?
Sorry, no. The compound isn’t suitable for pets.
Can we cook?
Yes. There’s a shared, equipped kitchen with a fridge, cooktop, microwave, kettle and dishes.
We’re a group. Is there room for everyone?
Our seven rooms sleep up to 17. Groups can book several rooms around the shared yard and kitchen — message us and we’ll check availability.
When is the best time to come?
For hiking, October to April. The weather station in Ezuz averages about 18°C by day and 7°C at night in January, and 23–29°C by day in spring and autumn. July and August reach about 35°C, so walk early and late. Every room is air-conditioned.
Can we see the stars?
The sky over Ezuz is fairly dark, far from city lights. Moonless nights are best — give your eyes about half an hour to adjust.
Where do we buy food?
We don’t serve meals and there’s no shop in Ezuz, so it’s easiest to bring groceries and cook in the shared kitchen. On the way there’s a shop at the Ketziot junction fuel station (about 15–20 minutes from us) and a grocery in Kadesh Barnea (about 20 minutes, closed on Saturdays). For a weekend, stock up before you arrive.
What can we see on foot?
The 1916 Ottoman railway bridge is about half a kilometre away, next to the Be’er Moshe and Be’er Aharon wells and the Be’erotayim grove, with an easy loop of about 2 km. The grove is open by day only and has no water.
Can we come by public transport?
Yes, with planning. Metropoline bus 140 runs from Be’er Sheva to Ezuz once a day, Sunday to Friday, and the “Ezuz/Merkaz” stop is about 60 m from us. No service on Shabbat or holidays. Check current times with Metropoline (*5900).
Is there an ATM nearby?
No. There’s no bank ATM in any Ramat HaNegev village; the closest are in Yeruham and Mitzpe Ramon. Bring some cash for small businesses on the way.
Can we go mountain biking?
Yes. The Yiftach Gorni singletrack opened in Pithat Nitzana in January 2026: an easy-to-moderate loop of about 15 km from Bustan Lea campground, 10–15 minutes’ drive from us. Some routes here cross firing zones, so check before you ride.
Can we drive Route 10 or hike near the border?
The drive to us uses Route 211, not the border road. The strip along the border is a closed military zone, and Route 10 opens to visitors only on days the IDF announces, with ID and registration at the entry. Check that a route is open before you set out.
Coming for a wedding at Khan Be’erotayim?
We’re about 3 km from the Khan, a few minutes’ drive. Send us the wedding date and how many guests, and we’ll check how many rooms are free.
What should we pack?
Warm layers for the evening and morning, since desert nights can get cold, and comfortable walking shoes. Linens and towels are waiting in the room.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, fast and free.
